Sportsbook.com Poker Review

Having been around since 1996, Sportsbook has upped the standards as to what is offered to players. They started out as primarily a sports book and have grown to great proportions now offering poker as well. They are currently on the same network as Cake Poker and Doyle’s Room and the software has done well for them. This site was built by players for players. So everything functions excellent and you can find what you want with ease. Not to mention that there is a casino right on the other side for all of your other gambling needs. At Sportsbook, you will find very generous bonuses and over $5 million a month in guaranteed tournaments.

Sportsbook Poker Bonus

A very generous bonus if offered to new players making their first deposit at Sportsbook. You are offered a 100% match on your money up to $650 with another 10% of your deposit being added courtesy of Sportsbook. So with a deposit of $650, you will get another $650 if you complete the play through requirements and $65 as the added bonus. Very nice. If you refer a friend, not only can they take part in the deposit bonus but you will make 20% of whatever they choose to deposit. If you run out of money to quickly they offer another 100% match up to $500. A lot of money can be saved by taking full advantage of both of these bonuses.

  • 100% Bonus up to a maximum of $650
  • Sportsbook Poker Bonus Code: FIRST100

Play through requirements are pretty simple. You are asked to play through or wager 2 times your total deposit. This is really nice if you were to compare it to other rooms that ask you to wager 25-35 times your total deposit. Your bonus is paid out to you in increments of $10 with each point you earn worth $0.06. So you will have to play approximately 150 hands or so to release your first bonus. For most tables this is only about an hours worth of play.

Software

Throughout the site you will see an abundance of tournaments with most of them being satellites to bigger games. Sit n Go’s are offered and buy ins start as low as $1 with the highest being offered at $5,000. Tournaments start out as little as $0.10 with the option to rebuy or add on and you will find stakes as high as $1,000.  Sportsbook.com Poker has buy ins to super satellites to events such as the WSOP Main Event are available and you can buy in for as little as $425. That $425 can be a pretty low investment considering the expected $10 million first prize. Aside from satellites, you will find other daily tournaments that have $10,000-$20,000 prize pools with buy ins starting as low as $30. If there is one thing that Sportsbook had to offer the poker community, it would be tournaments.

Games

Sportsbook offers your basic needs when it comes to poker. You will find Texas Hold Em at stakes starting out at $0.02/$0.04 ranging up to $100/$200. This is pretty low stakes when compared to other sites much less sites using the same software. You can also find Omaha starting out at $0.02/$0.04 as well, but the highest stakes you will find here is $50/$100 and generally lower for the Hi/Low version. All limits are available for these games. Sadly, there is a tab for Stud games but nothing seems to be available at this time.

Deposit Options

To deposit at Sportsbook, you have the following options: Visa, MasterCard, Cash Transfer, usemywallet, money bookers, NETeller. According to Sportsbook, they have the highest acceptance rate on credit cards in the industry, so if this is preferred method it would be suggested to check it out.

All in all, this is a pretty decent room to check out. Traffic is generally low and is probably a bit looser than what you would find in mainstream sites. This is due to the “gamblers” from Sportsbooks Casino coming over and trying their hand at playing cards. This room is worth checking out if you are into Texas Hold Em or Omaha. At the very least it is worth checking out to try and get into the WSOP for only $425! Sign up for Sportsbook.com today!
